Senior UI/UX Designer

About The Role

Aimtal is looking for an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to support our team with a variety of exciting projects. If you love creating accessible, aesthetically appealing, and meaningful websites that people are able to use easily, then keep reading!

The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail and is able to ensure that the “user experience” for website users is as efficient and enjoyable as possible. You will be responsible for bringing designs to life that align with our client’s marketing strategies and business goals. You will apply your knowledge by developing engaging user interfaces that address user needs, business requirements, and technical constraints; collaborating with account managers and other creatives to understand business needs, and incorporating user feedback into design decisions. You will also be responsible for mentoring younger designers and improving internal processes.

This position will report to the Senior Creative Manager and will be an integral member of a growing team and department at the agency.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Work independently and collaboratively with designers, content strategists, account managers, and clients to produce UX/UI deliverables like; information architecture maps; personas & customer journey maps, wireframes; high-fidelity mockups; interactive prototypes, and design systems
  • Audit websites to propose improvements and recommendations based on the best practices of web development
  • Play a key role in design review & feedback gathering sessions with clients and our project management team
  • Work collaboratively with developers to communicate design specifications and requirements for a web project
  • Translate wireframes and experiences into highly-polished visual composites with a user-centered design methodology
  • Build engaging user interfaces using Figma, according to user needs, business requirements, and technical constraints
  • Mentor designers on the team and improve internal processes
  • Testing and analyzing the performance of UX design
  • Create and manage digital and print designs for clients specifically for marketing campaigns, websites, social media channels, and advertising
  • Oversee design projects for specific clients from conception to delivery
  • Build and maintain the brand identity and integrity for clients
  • Design original graphic content, illustrations, infographics, guides, and images
  • Design and maintain client websites and landing pages (on Wix, WordPress, Webflow, or HubSpot) 
  • Improve user experience and user interface of websites and other visual elements
  • Collaborate with content and digital team to create high-quality content and designs for clients 
  • Meet and collaborate with the account team and respective clients to gain an understanding of what they want their brand and marketing to look like 
  • Maintain high standards of quality and ensure only the best work is released to clients
  • Ability to see the larger picture outside of design and have a deep understanding of overall marketing campaigns and their integrated parts

You May Be A Good Fit For This Role If…

  • You have 5+ years of professional experience working in web design UX/UI roles
  • Strong portfolio showing experience building digital products, such as a website, app interfaces, UI kits, etc., for multiple platforms
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas with executives, product managers, designers, and developers
  • Fluency in best practices for web-based product design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
  • Ability to create interactive design and high fidelity prototypes,
  • Ability to lead discussions, presentations, and design thinking exercises
  • Interest in visual storytelling and data visualization
  • Background in branding design
  • Ability to read and write HTML and CSS
  • Has experience leading and supporting multiple design projects at the same time
  • Is highly proficient using design tools such asFigma, Adobe, and eager to learn new technologies
  • Has experience creating high-fidelity interactive prototypes for internal and stakeholder review
  • Is a team player and always willing to share knowledge and contribute to the growth of the team
  • Can lead and drive younger designers
  • Excellent client-facing and internal team communication skills 
  • Demonstrates strong organizational abilities and is able to self-manage and self-organize tasks and projects 
  • Excellent client-facing and internal team communication skills 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for online channels and conference calls.
  • Adept at self-managing tasks and projects in a virtual workplace and in virtual tools 
  • Able to work on multiple projects at once, set priorities, problem-solve, and improvise when necessary
  • Able to communicate and collaborate with internal teams and clients across multiple time zones. 
  • A desire to work hours aligning with North America’s Eastern time zones
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and leadership skills
  • Open to receiving feedback and applying it for performance and process improvement
