Get to know Diana del Solar, our Arizona-based and very talented Senior Content Marketing Strategist! Diana works hard to create exciting content and marketing initiatives that put our clients on the digital map.

Outside of work, you may bump into her on a hiking trail, often identifiable by a coffee in hand and her beagle, Dylan, by her side… (not to be confused with Dylan!).

Where were you born, and where do you live now?

I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts but moved to the American West about six years ago now. I currently live in sunny Tucson, Arizona 🌵 but am hoping to move back to the Sierra Nevada region of California, soon.  

What are your favorite ways to spend your free time outside of work?

I love the great outdoors and really aim to swap my screen time for green time on the weekends. I enjoy hiking with my partner and our pup and have taken up birding since moving to Arizona.

I’m also happy to design my weekend around what’s on the menu – whether it’s trying out a new recipe or having a meal in one of Tucson’s great restaurants. We’re actually a UNESCO City of Gastronomy so there’s always more to eat!

If you could choose to be an animal, which would you choose?

My beagle. That dog is spoiled.

Name one marketing mistake many brands make but can easily be avoided.

Forgetting to loosen up! At the end of the day, marketing is about two people connecting. You don’t have to be all business, all the time, to be taken seriously by your audience. Show some humor and some humanity. You’d be surprised how people respond.

What are your goals for this year?

Personally: I’d love to defeat the millennial odds and purchase a home this year. ✨manifesting ✨

Professionally: I’m a nerd for metrics and data. I’d like to learn more about analytics and SEO and how they inform marketing strategy!

How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

Analytical, compassionate, quick.

What are you currently binge-watching?

I’m not in the middle of shows at the moment, but I do love to dive into YouTube videos about home renovations, DIY’ing, and living off the grid.

You are hosting a dinner party and get to invite 3 famous people (dead or alive), who do you choose?

Malala Yousafzai, Wangari Maathai, and Michelle Obama.

If you had to pick one artist/song to narrate your life from this point on, what would it be?

Woah, tough question. Right now I would say Lizzo. Who knows what I could achieve with her hyping me up every day.

How do you take your coffee?

Black and bottomless.

What is one thing you believe every marketer should know?

How to pivot their plans when a crisis (internal or external) strikes.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

A firefighter. Things change!

What is your favorite part about working for Aimtal?

I am so appreciative of how the team cohesively works together while also challenging each other to improve. A rising tide lifts all boats.

What’s your favorite place that you’ve traveled to? Which destinations are at the top of your travel list?

I grew up traveling to Lima to visit my father’s family, so Peru will always have a place in my heart. I’d love to explore Central America much more and (pandemic-pending) I hope to visit my sister in Rio de Janeiro at the end of the year.
