Meet Tucker, our newest Demand Generation Manager! Tucker spearheads lead generation campaigns for our clients, and always prioritizes a thoughtful marketing strategy before diving into the nitty gritty. You can find Tucker in Boston, MA, often enjoying a rollerblade around the city or a good read. Get to know him more in this spotlight interview!

Where were you born, and where do you live now?
I was born in Boston, MA, and am now living back in Boston, MA, after spending a few years in NYC.

What are your favorite ways to spend your free time outside of work?
I love to sit on the couch, drink coffee, and read. That is probably my favorite activity. I also love to exercise: walking, biking, and rollerblading. I’m also a big fan of playing board games with friends.

If you could choose to be an animal, which would you choose?
A dog. I just love their approach to life — they are up for anything but also down to nap for 5 hours straight.

What are you currently binge-watching?
Line of Duty! It’s a British police show about an anti-corruption unit and the inner-workings of British police. Sounds kinda dry but it is sooo gripping. Also, Party Down, a comedy about a catering company. I used to cater and their depiction is hilariously accurate.

Name one marketing mistake many brands make but can easily be avoided:
I think a lot of brands don’t align on a high-level marketing strategy before diving into their campaigns. It can be exciting to fire up Google Ads or a new landing page but if all your marketing efforts don’t tie back to a larger, unified strategy, that can lead to trouble.

How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Always learning more.

You are hosting a dinner party and get to invite 3 famous people (dead or alive), who do you choose?
Robin Williams, André 3000 of OutKast, and Will Shakespeare.

What are your goals for this year?
I am really excited to help our clients grow, particularly with robust demand and lead generation campaigns. There are so many new things happening in the digital ads space and I see a ton of opportunity to find new ways to connect with our target audiences.

If you had to pick one artist/song to narrate your life from this point on, what would it be?
Probably “Wait for It” from Hamilton. It is just so epic and I’d love to have that as the soundtrack to my life.

What is one thing you believe every marketer should know?
Curiosity is key. The marketing world is constantly changing and if you can simply be open to learning new things, your life will be much easier.

How do you take your coffee?
Just black and in large doses 🙂

What did you want to be when you grew up?
A professional hockey player. But, today, digital marketing is definitely a better fit for my lifestyle.

What is your favorite part about working for Aimtal?
I love our concept of ‘empathetic marketing.’ Having an empathetic mindset for our clients, our audiences, and our teammates is so critical. It helps us remember that we are here to help people and see things through their eyes. It’s really important to me personally but also just makes our work and relationships so much stronger.

What’s your favorite place that you’ve traveled to? Which destinations are at the top of your travel list?
Alcalá de Henares in Spain, where I studied abroad, will always have a special place in my heart. While there, I also traveled to Bruges in Belgium which was a truly magical place.

At the top of my travel list is Lisbon and Berlin. I’m also doing a tour of Canadian cities (Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Quebec City) this fall for my honeymoon!

Name a quote that you live by:
“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” —Ralph Waldo Emerson
